Lost and Found

Many years ago in an effort to save space, I removed all my photos from their albums and put them in boxes. They still took up a lot of space and eventually I got tired of moving them from one house to the next. So after my last move to Bear Creek, I decided to go through them all one last time, scan the ones I felt I might want to look at again, kept some, and then tossed the rest. That decision I have come to regret since I didn't back up the pictures and then the computer crashed. Today, while searching for something else, I came upon a box of photos that apparently had made the cut. Why I saved this particular lot I don't know. But, before I misplace these, I decided to post them to my blog (in no particular order) and then eventually put them in on-line albums. This has turned out to be more of an undertaking than I originally thought. My scanner only works with my old laptop (why I don't know). Therefore, I'm scanning the pictures to my old laptop, cropping them, adding dates if known, and then uploading them to my blog. The old laptop is really, really, really slow and I've only been able to get a small number of them posted tonight. But, rest assured, I will eventually get them done. You'll be seeing lots of posts with photos in the next week. Enjoy!

GUESS I WENT CRAZY WITH THE PICTURES

I went crazy taking pictures on this last trip, but what the heck. When I'm really old I want to be able to relive this trip and don't want to leave anything out. But, apparently, there must be some kind of limit to the number of pictures that will appear in the slideshow. I have spent way too many hours working on this today to get all my pictures to show up. I've finally given up and have had to divide the pictures from the Grand Tour Trip into two albums - first album is Phoenix, Sedona and Grand Canyon - second album is Las Vegas. I hope you will view them both.

Back to Reality

Back home in Florida now but still looking at the waiting-to-be-unpacked suitcase. I'm going to stay put for most of June and catch up on some gardening, paperwork, much-needed house cleaning and ebaying. But, my mind can't help planning the next trip.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAYS IN VEGAS - DAY 12

We will be flying back to Florida tonight on the red-eye, getting in to Orlando on Tuesday, June 1st at 5:30 am. It was a fun trip, but looking forward to getting home.

VIVA LAS VEGAS! DAY 7, 8 AND 9

We (Bill included) have arrived in Las Vegas and I've been too busy playing the slots to blog. Only kidding. The real reason that I didn't blog last night was because they charge $14/day for internet access. So, I figured I would buy the internet access every few days and put the money saved into the slots. Sounds like a plan to me. To catch up...... We got to Vegas Wednesday afternoon and then had dinner, walked the strip and then played the slots at our hotel, Bally's. Thursday afternoon we walked over to Bellagio to see the Conservatory, lobby Chihuly glass ceiling and the fountain show. Thursday night the Jersey Boys show which was terrific. MORE THAN JUST A BIG HOLE - DAY 6

You just can't get enough of the Grand Canyon - it is awesome!

OVER THE EDGE - DAY 5

Left Sedona and drove north through the very scenic Oak Creek Canyon and then on to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. My pictures do not do the Grand Canyon justice - it has to be seen in person. When we left the Park tonight at dusk there were elk all over the place. We will be seeing more of the Grand Canyon tomorrow.
