Linville in the Fall

October in the mountains of North Carolina is a special time. I arrived in Linville this past Wednesday night to crisp temperatures - a welcome change from Florida. It has since warmed up a bit. The leaves have not yet peaked but Fall is evident. Our community entrance has been decorated and I have made a scarecrow to sit on the bench by my front slider. I drove over to Greensboro on Friday to celebrate my great nephew Miller's third birthday. Saturday evening Walt and Debi arrived to spend a few days in Linville and then all three of us are off on a road trip to Chicago on Tuesday.
