It's no surprise to my friends and family that I am addicted to penny slot machines. I am enticed by "free rooms" and "free buffets" which are not really "free" in the end, but I delude myself in thinking that they are. Everybody has vices - and this is one of mine. My favorite casinos are part of the Harrah's conglomerate. When you play the slots you insert a players card with your name on it and you accrue points as you play which you can redeem for gifts, food or lodging. Because Harrah's has casinos almost everywhere, I can play and accrue points in (to name a few) Atlantic City NJ, Cherokee NC, New Orleans LA and, of course, Las Vegas NV. With me, it's not whether I win or lose, it's how many points I get. So, at the end of this month, I am off to Las Vegas to earn more points. Since I don't want the trip to be "just gambling" - that would be wrong - me and my traveling companions will first visit Phoenix AZ, Sedona AZ, and Grand Canyon's South Rim, finishing up in Las Vegas. For me, this will be my second and final look at The Grand Canyon, and can then cross it off my "bucket list." So, please check back at the end of the month to see my pictures.
