We were there last night - me, Marilyn and Bill at the Huey Lewis conert. Fireworks followed the show. The pictures posted are not from last night - I forgot my camera. Quoting from the American Music Festival's website:
The Daytona Beach Bandshell is located on one of the most famous beaches in the country. This outdoor amphitheater is in Oceanfront Park on the north end of the boardwalk amusement area and overlooks the ocean. It was built in 1937 and is made out of coquina. The Bandshell seats thousands of people and is used for concerts, events and convention activities. This fabulous structure is a popular attraction in Daytona Beach all year long.
The iconic venue will be transformed into a ticketed arena seating approximately 4,200 people for the first time. A truly unique Daytona Beach experience, performers will take this open-air stage with audiences seated in an arena style configuration as they enjoy ocean breezes and dynamic performances.
Saturday, September 4th at 9:00pm: Huey Lewis & the News
Huey Lewis and the News is the iconic American rock & roll band. This dynamic 19-piece ensemble will perform at what is being called “The Huey Lewis Beach Party at the American Music Festival”. Their run of hit singles during the 1980s and early 1990s, boasted an impressive 19 top-ten singles across the Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary and Mainstream Rock charts.
