GOOD LUCK IN THE EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS
Although I now live in Florida, I am still a Philly Girl at heart. My mother was also a Flyers fan and I remember watching the game with her when they won their first Stanley Cup in 1974.
The Flyers have played their home games on Broad Street since their inception, first at The Spectrum from 1967 until 1996, and then at the Wachovia Center from 1996 to the present, hence their nickname, the Broad Street Bullies.
The Flyers are currently in the midst of a successful playoff run that saw them defeat both the 2nd-seeded Devils, as well as the Boston Bruins, who at one point held a three-games-to-none lead over the Flyers. The Flyers will meet their next opponent, the Montreal Canadiens, in the Eastern Conference Final beginning tomorrow, Sunday, 16 May.
